My homecountry is overpopulated and many natural habitats had been destroyed during the last 7 decades, so Germany is really not the best place in Europe for herping. There are some places, where you still can find some of our 8 snake- and 14 frog species (for example). But you have to know where to look and such places are few and isolated.
